Blocking and unblocking a contact
Blocking stops someone reaching you, without telling them they have been blocked.
Block someone
- Open the chat with them and tap their name at the top to open Contact info.
- Scroll down and tap Block.
- Confirm.
What blocking does
- Their messages and calls stop reaching you.
- They can no longer see your last seen, online status, or profile photo.
- Their messages show as sent on their side, so it is not obvious.
To unblock, go to Settings, then Privacy, then Blocked Contacts, and tap their name.
