Clearing cache and freeing storage
Photos and videos from your chats are usually what fills up the space. InfoPhone does not have a single storage screen that lists it all for you.
Free up space
- Open the chat with the largest files and delete the ones you no longer need — long-press a message with media, then Delete.
- Turn off auto-download for the media types you do not need, in Settings, then Chats, so new files stop piling up.
- For a full picture of what InfoPhone is using, check your phone’s own storage settings rather than InfoPhone’s.
Worth knowing
- Deleting a downloaded file does not delete the message it came with.
- Clearing cached data, in your phone’s settings, is safe and does not remove your chats.
- Clearing app data does remove them. Avoid it.
